Armor Medical is proud to welcome Dr. Matt Keller to the team as Head of Product!

Matt brings a career built at the intersection of engineering rigor and global health impact. Most recently, he served as Director of Engineering at Global Health Labs, where he led a team specializing in the research and development of optical and electronic sensor systems for healthcare applications in low-resource settings. His work there spanned pulse oximeter bias research, uterine contraction mapping, embedded imaging systems for neglected tropical diseases, and optical analysis of medicine quality – a portfolio that reflects both technical depth and a genuine commitment to solving healthcare challenges that matter.

Before Global Health Labs, Matt held roles at Intellectual Ventures Lab and Lockheed Martin, where he developed technologies ranging from mosquito monitoring systems to surgical lasers and neurophotonics platforms. He holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and is a published researcher in biophotonics and spectroscopy.

His experience is closely aligned with where Armor Medical is headed. As Head of Product, Matt will lead the aRMOR System through the technical and regulatory milestones that bring it closer to the patients it is designed to protect. His background in sensor development, wearable systems, and clinically grounded R&D makes him exactly the right person for this chapter of our work.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys traveling with his wife and two daughters, enjoying the Pacific Northwest outdoors, and singing in a local choir.

We are thrilled to have him on the team!
